Measuring UCS Mini Bandwidth Utilization with PRTG

I was overthinking how to monitor long-term bandwidth utilization on the UCS Mini by attempting to build my own SNMP query... Turns out it's quite easy to use using PRTG's built-in sensor.
  1. SNMP will need to be configured in UCS Manager / Admin tab / Communication Management / Communication Services.  Note: No SNMP traps are necessary.
  2. In PRTG, add a device for each FI.  The IP address for each FI can be found in UCS Manager / Equipment Tab / Fabric Interconnects.
  3. In the new device add the sensor "SNMP Traffic".  Choose from physical uplink ports, port channels, server ports, and vNICs.  Additional channels are also available for more traffic detail.  If you are only interested in physical network utilization selected the uplink ports.
  4. Add any limits as applicable.  Note, traffic is monitored in kbit/s... and for us old-school 1024 base folks, 10 Gb = 10485760 kbps.
